ARCHIVE STATEMENT
M C ALCHEMIST is the recording identity of Steve MacDonald-Brown, producing experimental music, progressive rock, narrative concept albums and subject-led sonic works inspired by science, mathematics, literature, folklore and speculative fiction.
The archive is a continuing catalogue of fictional transmissions, sonic experiments, speculative albums, unstable artefacts and reconstructed audio phenomena.
Some entries are progressive rock suites. Some are laboratory ghosts. Some are corrupted dossiers. Some are maps of places that may not exist. The archive should not be treated as a conventional discography. It is better understood as a slowly expanding cabinet of aural curiosities.
